RepublicanThe county candidates have all declared their intentions to run for political office in the May 5th Primary.

Superior Court II Judge Dean Colvin is running for reelection as is Circuit Court Judge Curt Palmer.  Palmer is being challenged in the Republican Primary by Janette E. Surrisi in the primary.

There are two seats up on for County Commissioner.  Kevin Overmyer is seeking another term representing District 3 while Mike Burroughs is seeking his first fill term as the District 2 County Commissioner.  Burroughs was elected in a caucus to fill the vacant seat in District 2 when Mike Delp resigned in October.

The three At-Large seats on the County Council are up this year and incumbents Penny Lukenbill, James Masterson and Jon VanVactor are being challenged by Jesse Bohannon, Gill Githens, Tim Harman and William Patterson in the Republican primary.

County Coroner John Grolich, County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier, and Surveyor Craig Cultice do not have a race in the primary.

 

Candidates had until noon on Friday, February 7th to file.
