PHS_Speech2020_FtDwengerThe Plymouth High School Speech Team traveled to Fort Wayne Saturday to compete at the Bishop Dwenger High School Tournament. Because of other activities students participate in at PHS, solo and ensemble contest, robotics and the ACT test, the Plymouth team was small and very inexperienced. However, this did not stop the Plymouth Team for coming home with the First Place Trophy.

The following students were in the final rounds and placed for Plymouth.

Autumn Baird, Sophomore 1st in Duo and Drama
Quentin Barker, Sophomore 1st in Duo, 3rd in POI
Meg Robinson, Freshman 3rd in Prose
Sirena Renfrow, Senior (first year) 3rd in OP and Drama
Graison Ray, Sophomore, 1st in OP and Humor
Brenna Large, Junior, 1st in USX and Imp
Matt Hanzel, Junior 6th in USX and Imp
Liam Forte, Sophomore, 3rd in Humor
Ana Baca, 2nd, POI

The team will travel to Bethany Christian next weekend there is a need a lot of judges. If you can judge, let Dan Tyree know and he will send you the specifics.

In three weeks the team will compete in the IHSFA Sectional Tournament at Concord High School.   There will be a need for neutral judges for that tournament.   If you don’t know the students on the PHS team this year and would like to judge, let Mr. Tyree know.
