Plymouth swimmers sweep NLC meet
PLYMOUTH – Plymouth’s boys and girls swim teams swept a dual match with NLC opponent Elkhart Memorial with the boys taking home a 112-62 win and the girls winning 119-63.
The boys took first and second in the Medley Relay. The team of Cam Riddle, Hugh Smith, Korey Kopetski, Jackson Bougher were first with Fitz Holm, Tommy Dolan, Gavin Hartle, Taylor Judd taking second.
Riddle was second in the 200 free and 1st in the 500 free with season-best times in both events!
Gavin Hartle was first in the 200 IM with a season-best time and third in the 500 free, dropping 30 seconds from his previous best time.
PHS took 1 – 3 – 4 on the 50 free. Hugh Smith won, Jackson Bougher was 3rd and Fitz Holm was 4th.
Plymouth divers took 1, 2, 3, in the order of Janda, Tijerina and Blake Judd.
PHS was 1st and 3rd in the 200 Free Relay.
Holm took 1st in the 100 back followed by Taylor Judd.
Smith and Dolan went 1 and 2 in the 100 breast, and it was a win for the 400 free relay of Hartle, Holm, Schramm, and Riddle
Plymouth’s girls had their best meet of the season so far with a swimmer with a best time in every event.
The stellar swims came at a perfect time to propel the swimmers into the NLC Prelims meet on Thursday. Events begin at 6 p.m. with the top 16 swimmers advancing to NLC Finals on Saturday at Northridge High School.
