travel-advisoryTuesday morning the Marshall County Commissioners, at the recommendation of the County Highway Superintendent, Jason Peters and Emergency Management Agency Director, Clyde Avery, implemented an “Advisory” level travel advisory.

The “Advisory” level is the lowest level of local travel advisories.  It means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department has responded to a number of slide-offs, roll-overs and traffic accidents this morning.

Drivers are urged to slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Increase your following distance, drive defensively, and be aware of the increased potential for icy conditions on bridges and overpasses.
