Lincoln eighth JV hosts tournament
PLYMOUTH — Lincoln’s eighth grade B team fell just short of a title in their invitational on Saturday.
Lincoln defeated John Glenn in the opening game 44-23.
The Redstorm was able to build a methodical lead over the course of the game allowing all 10 players in the scorebook to score at least two points. Payton Bonebreak led the way scoring 18 points.
In a very intense and entertaining championship game, Lincoln fell just a little bit short falling to the LaPorte Slicers 54-47.
In a game of runs, it was Laporte who had the last one in the last quarter that helped them pull out the victory. Payton Bonebreak lead all scorers with 22 points, making him the leading scorer of the tournament with 40 points in two games. Seth Wright chipped in 12. And Tre Jordan added 8.
Lincoln’s B record is now 4-1.
