Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a fatal crash between an Amish Buggy and a pick-up truck near Bremen Tuesday afternoon.
The Marshall County 911 Center received a report of the accident at 4:10.
Details are limited on the crash but the report states both vehicles were west bound on 3B Road about 1,000 feet east of Beech Road. The single occupant of the buggy was 80 year old LeRoy Hochstetler of Bremen.
Hochstetler was pronounced dead at the scene by Marshall County Coroner, John Grolich. He was assisted by Chief Deputy Coroner Let Trump.
The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured in the crash.
The horse pulling the buggy was also killed in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were Bremen Police and Fire, Lutheran EMS and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
