Plymouth swimmers open NLC
MIDDLEBURY – The Plymouth Pilgrim Swim teams traveled to Northridge Thursday night to open the NLC swim season against Goshen and host Northridge.
The Lady Pilgrims fell to Goshen 115-70 and lost to Northridge 148-37. The losses move their NLC record to 0-2 and their overall record to 3-4.
Graci Holm had the highest finish on the night getting 1st in the 100 back against Goshen and 2nd overall to an always impressive
The following girls had best times:
Summer South – 50 free, 100 free
Kelsey Vanlue – 500 free – dropped 30 seconds!
Sarah Youngs – 50 free, 100 free
Lucy Keirn – 100 back (six-second drop)
The Pilgrim Men lost to Goshen 128-52 and fell to Northridge 108-63. They are now 0-2 in the NLC and 0-3 overall.
Medley Relay: Cam Riddle, Hugh Smith, Korey Kopetski and Jackson Bougher placed second to Goshen but defeated Northridge.
50 free: Eli Schramm swam a best time of 28.78
Diving: Angel Tijerina places 2nd with a best score, improving by 11.25 points
100 breast: Hugh Smith was 3rd; Tom Dolan dropped four seconds and Justin Houin dropped 12 seconds.
The 400 free relay team of Fitz Holm, Jackson Bougher, Gavin Hartle, and Cam Riddle dropped seven seconds to finish 3rd to Northridge, 2nd to Goshen!
Both teams host the eight-team Pilgrim Relays Saturday. The action begins at 9 a.m.
