K-County_SemiCrash_1The Bourbon Fire Department assisted a fiery semi crash in Kosciusko County Thursday evening.

K-County_SemiCrash_2About 6:35 a semi tractor trailer carrying approximately 7,700 gallons of ethanol alcohol was north bound on County Road 800 West in K-County.  The semi dropped off the shoulder about a half mile north of County Road 400 North.  The driver over-corrected causing the ethanol to slosh within the tank. The trailer disconnected from the tractor and both units rolled over several times, igniting a fire.

K-County_SemiCrash_3The fuel began to burn and spread to a nearby field. The driver of the semi tractor was able to exit the vehicle, with only minor injuries.
