Heroes on the Hardwood“Heroes on the Hardwood” is an event to sponsor the Plymouth unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Marshall County.

This Saturday, September 28th the Plymouth Fire Department, EMS and Volunteers will take on the Plymouth Police Department and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department in Plymouth’s finest battle on the basketball court.

All proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Club in Plymouth to help support the hundreds of children that attend the club annually after school, during school breaks and for summer day camp. In the past 22 years the Plymouth unit alone has served over 4,500 youth through its many impactful programs.  The club is a safe and fun place for youth where Marshall County children strive to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

The game will be played in the varsity gym at Plymouth High School on Saturday.  Doors open and 5:30 and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for school-aged children.

Citizens are urged to watch social media for opportunities to donate towards Team Fire or Team Police.  Each team is working to raise the most money for the club and bragging rights.

Andrew Fitzpatrick, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club will be our guest on Thursday’s “What’s Your Opinion” show about 9:30 a.m.
