LaVille girls finish at Penn sectional
GRANGER — The LaVille Girls Golf team participated in the Indiana High School Athletic Association state tournament. The Lancers played at Knollwood Country Club.
Taylor Garrett carded an 18-hole score of 104, while Elliana Lemberis shot a 118.
Garrett started slow, but picked things up when she birdied hole five.
“Taylor was really excited to birdie hole five and that helped her play the remainder of the day,” said LaVille coach Lindsay Garrett. “Being her last match of her high school career, she played terrific!
“Elli seemed to be having some trouble with her driver so she switched to her three-wood and started driving a lot better,” continued Garrett. “She played an all-around great round. She had some fantastic fairway shots. I’m really proud of how well she played for her first sectional in high school.”
