Lady Lancers get conference win over Winamac
WINAMAC — The LaVille varsity volleyball team battled Hoosier North Athletic Conference leader Winamac through four sets before knocking off the Warriors, 3-1.
Following a split of the first two games, the visiting Lancers pulled off an 27-25 emotional victory in game three before a solid win in game four.
LaVille had strong contributions from several players in different aspects of the match.
Haley Ross and Olivia Goze led the net attack. Goze collecting seven kills, while Ross added six. The Goze-Ross duo added four blocks each.
Sydney Coblentz and Alaina Kertai handed out 11 assists each.
Allison Medors led the service game with seven aces, while Zoey Thomas and Natalie Gonzalez chipped in with two aces each.
LaVille is 8-10 overall and 2-1 in the HNAC.
