Chargers use balanced attack to down Glen Oaks
PLYMOUTH – Ancilla College matched their first half total in the first eight minutes of the second half as they pulled away to beat Glen Oaks (8-15, 5-9) 107-83 in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association contest at the LifePlex on Monday night. The Chargers (17-7, 10-4) are tied for second in the MCCAA.
The Chargers started fast, but Glen Oaks regrouped and tied the game at 20-20, before falling behind again at the half 35-30. Ancilla took off in the second half, leading by 33 points at one time. Josh Alcindor scored 20 points to lead a well-balanced Ancilla attack. Mike Green and Mike Hemingway had 19 points each, while Tyreese Walker connected on five of seven three-point baskets for 15 points, Ty’Sean Sheppard added 10 points and six steals, as the Chargers caused 31 Glen Oak turnovers.
Ancilla will be back at home on Wednesday when they host Jackson College at 7:30 at the LifePlex in Plymouth
