Plymouth Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt asked the Board of Public Works and Safety to award the quote for a new 3500 series truck to the low bidder during their meeting Monday evening.
During the January 28th meeting two quotes were open, one from Country Auto for a 2019 Ram 3500 4×4. The base quote was $35,446 and a trade-in of a 1999 Chevy pick-up of $850 for a final quote of $34,596. The second quote came from Oliver Ford for a 2019 F350 4×4. Their base quote was $32,699 with a trade in of $500 bringing the total to $32,119.
Marquardt asked to award the quote to Oliver Ford. He also noted that the incentive of $500 to $600 ends on the 13th so he needed to move forward immediately with the quote to purchase.
The Board of Works unanimously approved the request.
