Jana’s Gymnastics opened their competitive season at the Fall Fiesta Gymnastics Meet in Mishawaka on Saturday and Sunday, October 27th & 28th. Every single team member made their first benchmark on their way to qualifying to State. Gymnasts must receive an All-Around score of 32.0 in two separate competitions to qualify to State.
Bronze Team earned first place by 5 points. 1st Place Bronze Team Members include: Row 1: Kylee Waldrop, Lexi Maza, Gabriella Polando. Row 2: Emaline Van Duyne, Daniela Moreno, Eleanor Brashere, Kylie Haselby and Cailyn Flores.
Silver Team earned their first place by edging out the 2nd place team by only .025. Silver team members are: Row 1: Susie Everett, Jenna Blake, Lila Hanyzewski, Damaris Aguilar, Callie Rodriguez, Mia Krathwohl, Emma Zimpleman. Row 2: Alexa Finke, Joy Everett, Elsaya Bohm, Izzy Rettinger, Nora Guseilla, Alanna Meersman.
Gold earned a 3rd Place finish. Gold Team Members are: Row 1: Madison Ward, Jersey Hunter, Jaelyn McGrath. Row 2: Mckenna Lowe, KenZ Redding, Kasi Harner and Maddy Brouyette.
Platinum team grabbed a 2nd place finish with only 3 team members meaning all 3 girls’ scores on each event were used to determine team placement.
Jana’s teams will travel to Michigan City in November to compete in the Quest for the Diamond competition.
