Triton_INpact BandTriton High School freshman, Isaac Lemler and William Weissert spent August 10th and 11th in Indianapolis for a time of instruction, fun and performance with the 2018 INpact Band.

The INpact Band is a program of Drum Corps International, or DCI. DCI describes the INpact Band as “the biggest middle school band ever”.  The band was made up of 500 middle school students from around the state of Indiana. Students must be nominated by their band director, and selections are made from those nominations.

During their 8th grade year, Mr. David Seel, Triton’s music director, nominated Isaac and William for the 2018 INpact band. Mr. Seel also attended this event as one of many volunteer instructors.

This event coincided with the DCI World Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium. The students performed their selections on the field in front of thousands of fans just prior to the beginning of the championship event. Afterwards, along with their families, they watched 12 of the best and most elite drum corps compete for the championship.

Isaac and William are members of The Spirit of Triton Marching Band. The marching band has been working hard to get ready for the upcoming marching season.
