On My Way Pre K Facebook Boys AbacusWith only a few weeks remaining to register children before the school year starts, low-income families in Marshall County must act now to see if they are eligible for high-quality prekindergarten education for their 4-year-old children, AT NO CHARGE, thanks to the On My Way Pre-K program! Applications are still available for families whose children will be 4 years old by August 1, 2018, and starting kindergarten in the 2019/2020 school year at www.OnMyWayPreK.org. But now is the time to act as space is limited, and school starts soon!

Children in Marshall County may now join the 5,000+ children in Indiana who have benefitted from On My Way Pre-K, the first state-sponsored prekindergarten pilot program in Indiana for low-income children. We know that this program has helped these children be more prepared to start kindergarten and be more successful throughout their school years.

“Not only is On My Way Pre-K positive for children, it is also positive for families,” said Linda Yoder, Executive Director for United Way. “More than half of the parents of previous On My Way Pre-K children have said that having their child in the program allowed them to search for a new job, keep a current job or obtain better shifts at work.”

Eligibility requirements:

Their child must be 4 years old by August 1, 2018, and starting kindergarten in the 2019/2020 school year.
