school-board-meeting1The Plymouth School Board will meet on Thursday, July 5 at 5:30 P.M. Although the board usually meets on the first Tuesday of each month, the date and time was changed due to the July 4 holiday. Meetings are open to the public; however, comments from the audience are limited to agenda items only.

Among other agenda items, the board is expected to consider the appointment of a new Plymouth High School Assistant Principal. The position became open when the former assistant, Kyle Coffman, was named principal for Riverside Intermediate at the June board meeting.

They will also consider a draft of Teacher Evaluation and Department Plan2. In 2011, the Indiana legislature passed IC 20-28-11.55 that concerns the evaluation of all certified teaching staff. Teachers are rated in four performance levels annually as highly effective, effective, improvement needed, or ineffective.

Additional items include consideration of food bids, adopt transfer resolution, selection of newspaper for legal advertising, JESSE agreement, and consideration of administrative contracts.
