City HallThe renovation project on City Hall continues to progress according to City Attorney Sean Surrisi.  Tuesday evening he gave members of the Redevelopment Commission an update on the project.

The current plan calls for the final walk through on July 23rd and the creation of a punch list of items which still need to be addressed.  The relocation back into the historic building would begin in early August.

Surrisi said Michiana Contracting is currently installing the new windows. Trim work in the upstairs is complete; painting is finished although none of the flooring has been installed.  He said the issues with back stairs will delay the painting of that area until they have moved back into the building.

The project is on budget because they are using contingencies to cover the additional expenses.

The Redevelopment Commission approved an expense of   $2,139 for a metal logo sign that will hang behind the council bench.
