Flood_Bill GeeA Disaster Recovery Center will open in Plymouth today, Monday, May 21 for three days and is scheduled to close on Wednesday, May 23 to help Indiana flood survivors.

The Disaster Recovery Center will be located at the Fitness Forum-LifePlex 2855 Miller Drive.  Hours of operation for the Disaster Recovery Center will be  9:00am to 7:00pm (EST).  This location will only be open this Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC’s) offer in-person support to individuals and business owners. Recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the State of Indiana, and the Marshall County Long Term Disaster Recovery Committee will be available to provide assistance to anyone filling out their applications or updating their status. Voluntary organizations are available and offer a variety of service to help survivors recover.

Disaster Survivors may visit any Disaster Recovery Center. Find an open Disaster Recovery Center near you at:  www.fema.gov/disaster-recovery-centers or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362 for voice. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability and use a TTY, call 1-800-462-7585. Information on the registration process is available in ASL at: www.fema.gov/medialibrary/assests/videos/111546

The registration process is the first step in the recovery and requires information such as insurance policies and bank information for possible direct transfer of funds. Survivors are encouraged to register before visiting a Disaster Recovery Center.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers federal disaster loans for businesses of all sizes, private non-profit organizations, homeowners and renters. The SBA is the federal government’s primary source of money for long-term rebuilding of disaster-damaged property.
