local News_2Mark Naylor, President of Oasis Lifestyle LLC in Plymouth appeared before the City Council Monday evening seeking a tax abatement for a major expansion project.

Naylor said they recently added 22,500 square feet of warehousing and four additional dock doors to their existing facility on PIDCO Drive to aid in their customer service. They also have an additional in-fill of 7,000 square feet between two existing building for additional production capacity.

Jerry Chaves from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation told council members the resolution presented would create an Economic Revitalization Area, the first step in the tax abatement process.

The capital investment is $1.8 million for building and $134,000 for equipment.  No new positions will be created with the addition.

The city council unanimously approved the resolution creating the economic revitalization area.  A public hearing on the tax abatement request will be held at the April 9th City Council meeting.
