The Marshall County Commissioners opened bids for a three year lease of farm ground at Shady Rest during their meeting Monday morning.
Four bids were opened, KSF Farms LLC submitted a bid of $233 per acre while Langfeldt Farms had a bid of $215 an acre and Robin Roberts offered $188 an acre. The high bid was from David Schrock of MDAR Properties LLC who submitted a bid of $276.
The commissioners awarded to contract to MDAR Properties contingent upon review and contracting of the lease agreement with them. The lease is for approximately 160 acres.
