Groundbreaking ceremonyTwo groundbreakings ceremonies are scheduled this week in Marshall County.

Jerry Chavez, President and CEO of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation said the ceremony on Tuesday, November 7th is for a 50,000 square foot manufacturing center in Argos.  The building at the corner of Dewey and West Streets in Argos, their new 75 acre industrial park will have the ability to be expanded up to 300,000 square feet and has access to high speed fiber.

The Argos Manufacturing Center is a Regional Cities funded project which will bring new industrial business to the area by speeding up the process for a new business to begin operations.

The second groundbreaking ceremony will be Wednesday, November 8th in Culver.

Sand Hill Farm is a Regional Cities funded workforce housing development at 540 West Jefferson Street.  This is a key project in Culver’s Stellar Communities designation and will create vital housing to support the three largest employers in the area.

Sand Hill Farm will have a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments totaling 24 units.  The development is geared towards the goal of improving housing opportunities, attracting new families, growing the population, and increasing school enrollment.
