ITechLady Chargers Win at Home Opener

PLYMOUTH, IN – The Ancilla Women’s Basketball Team beat Indiana Tech JV 102-91 at the first home game of the season.

Brynda Krueger (So.) led with 29 points. LaRae Rascoe (Fr.) had 17 points and 8 assists. The Chargers were up 56-33 at the half.

“It’s always a good thing to start off the season with a win so we were pleased with that outcome,” says Ancilla Head Coach Tom Robbins. “Our offense was very explosive and we did a nice job of attacking the basket throughout the game. Our defense needs some work. We played well in the 2nd quarter on defense by holding them to 9 points but the other 3 quarters we were lacking,” he says. “Indiana Tech really shot the ball well in the 2nd half and put a lot of pressure us.”

Robbins adds, “The game was won in the 2nd quarter from the 5 min mark until the end of the half. We went up 30 based on stealing the ball and converting shots.”

Women’s Basketball competes again Saturday, November 4, at 2:00pm against Waubonsee Community College at the LifePlex in Plymouth.
