Lady Chargers defeat Lake Michigan College
BENTON HARBOR, MI – The Lady Chargers earned a hard fought win at Lake Michigan College by a 2-1 final in overtime.
The Lady Chargers jumped on top early but a score by LMC kept it tied for most of the contest. Ancilla finally scored late in the first overtime to take the win.
Freshman Dominque Palmer scored both Charger goals. Fellow Freshman Eleanor Boothman assisted on the first goal. The game winning goal was unassisted.
“It was a total team effort,” said Ancilla Head Coach Justin Crew. “We have played a lot of games lately so we were a little gassed out there today. We have a very young team and Lake Michigan is a hard team to score on. There is a long way to go but I am happy with the progress we have been making.”
The Women’s Soccer Team is back in action Saturday, Sept. 23 at Trinity Christian College.
