arrestsA traffic stop on Friday morning, August 18th ended with two people being arrested.

Plymouth Police Officer John Weir stopped a vehicle at Michigan and Center Streets when he recognized the driver, 33 year old Joanna Neeley of Star City.  The officer knew Neeley was driving without a valid license.

While speaking with the passenger in her vehicle, 35 year old Jeremy Neeley it was found that he had a protection order against him for being around Ms. Neeley.

Both were taken into custody; Jeremy Neeley for Invasion of Privacy.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond and Joanna Neeley for Operating Without a License.  She was held on a $500 cash bond.

On Tuesday August 22, Plymouth police were called to 114 North Michigan Street in reference to 51 year old Scott Vandusen whos violated a Protection Order. Officer Beatty with the Plymouth Police Department investigated the violation and took Vandusen into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.  He was held on a $755 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
