A traffic stop Thursday afternoon by County Police Officer Jonathan Bryant resulted in the arrest of three people. 

At approximately 2:45 pm on August 17th Officer Bryant stopped a truck near the intersection of Michigan and 7th Roads.

MugShot_Anthony MaiellaA passenger in the vehicle, 30 year old Anthony Meiella of Walkerton was taken into custody for 2 outstanding warrants and possession of synthetic marijuana.  He was held with no bond on the warrants and a $1,000 cash bond on the Possession charge.

MugShot_Samantha Clemons (1)The driver, 27 year old Samantha Clemons of Knox and other passenger,

MugShot_Mark Howard34 year old Mark Howard of Argos were arrested for Possession of Marijuana after the City of Plymouth’s K9 Jax indicated drugs in the vehicle.

Mr. Howard currently has a $10,000 cash bond while Samantha Clemons was held on a $1,000 cash bond.

Marshall County Police were assisted by the Plymouth Police Department.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
