New escape room company in Elkhart, IN, Out Smart Escapes has partnered with Michiana Escapes in South Bend, IN. The partnership between owners John Webber and Matt Herm will expedite their shared goal of providing Michiana with some of the highest quality escape room experiences in the country.
Webber is a local entrepreneur who is the founder and owner of several Elkhart based businesses including Carved, StrataShops, Dragonfly Footbags, and Ad Stream. Webber’s companies share a similar theme of providing products that lead their respective industries. Carved is the worldwide leading supplier of custom wooden phone cases and Dragonfly Footbags is the premier online retailer for hacky sacks. Webber anticipates his new company, Out Smart Escapes, following a similar trajectory, challenging the status quo with innovative, one-of-a-kind experiences.
Herm has a background in set design, special effects and puzzle creation through his involvement with the Niles Scream Park and Michiana Escapes. The Niles Scream Park is one of the premier haunted attractions in the country, which under Herm’s leadership was voted the number one Halloween attraction in the country in 2015 and 2016 by a CoasterNation poll. Herm founded Michiana Escapes in July of 2016 which has gone on to receive 57 five star reviews on Facebook.
Webber and Herm are excited to merge their companies since their backgrounds compliment each other so well. With shared resources, Webber and Herm are excited to offer top notch entertainment to the Michiana area.
The company will operate as Out Smart Escapes with two escapes rooms in Tippecanoe Place Restaurant located at 620 West Washington Street in South Bend. Reservations can be made at their website, www.outsmartescapes.com.
