Plymouth and Nappanee have a long history of success in the league that has divisions for players from 8 years old to 12 years old. This season, both community’s 10 and under teams have had outstanding years and Nappanee had the better of the head-to-head match ups at 2-1 coming into Monday’s finals.

Plymouth rode a three-hit game by Jak Chaney and the pitching of Preston Wolfe to a 12-2 game one win, forcing a decisive game two Monday. Tre Jordan and Blake Mackey added a pair of hits each and Caleb Bowling came on to finish up the final inning of the win on the mound.

Chaney came back to take the mound in the night cap and scattered seven hits going the distance to take the win and the title for Plymouth. He was helped by a key triple from Preston Wolfe and two-hit games from Caleb Bowling, Tre Jordan, Alex Harding, Trey Delp and Parker Wolfe.

Nappanee got multi-hit games from Ryder Ransberger — that included a double — and Connor Reed.
