ISP_BohnerIndiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter recently announced the promotion of Trooper Ted Bohner to the rank of sergeant to serve as the Public Information Officer for the Bremen Post.  Sergeant Bohner earned this promotion through completion of written testing and a competitive interview process.

Bohner, a ten year veteran of the Indiana State Police, graduated from Fairfield High School in Goshen, Indiana and also attended Taylor University in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Bohner graduated from the Indiana State Police Academy in July 2007 and was assigned to the Toll Road Post.  While working at the Toll Road Post Bohner’s patrol areas included Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, and LaGrange Counties.

During his time with the state police Bohner served as a field training officer (FTO) and is also an emergency vehicle operator (EVO) instructor.

Sergeant Bohner is married and lives in St. Joseph County with his wife, two children, and step-son.
