South_Bend_Cubs_logoShortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, during a press conference held at Four Winds Field, Andrew T. Berlin, Chmn/Owner of the South Bend Cubs announced a major new partnership with 1st Source Bank.

“Today, I’m happy to announce the naming rights for the world-class Performance Center you see here at Four Winds Field have been awarded to 1st Source Bank,” commented Berlin. “As a matter of fact, this feels like the perfect partnership in a lot of ways because 1st Source Bank has been supporting professional baseball in South Bend for nearly 30 years. There’s never been a game played on this field without some kind of 1st Source presence. And now, I dare say, it’s impossible to avoid it. Thank you 1st Source, for helping us make history once again.”

“At 1st Source Bank we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with the South Bend Cubs, another leading organization in our community,” said Jim Seitz, President of 1st Source Bank. “It’s a terrific opportunity for 1st Source to help the South Bend Cubs continue to grow and succeed in our community. It’s also a great way for the bank to support area youth who use the Performance Center to hone their athletic skills.”

Effective immediately, the facility will be known as the 1st Source Bank Performance Center. The exclusive 5-year naming rights partnership with 1st Source Bank enhances an already strong relationship spanning several decades between the two organizations. 1st Source Bank is also the sponsor of Friday night fireworks at Four Winds Field.

“1st Source is also excited to announce that starting May 1, the public can show their support of the South Bend Cubs by joining the Cubs 1st Club,” Seitz added. “Club members will enjoy special treatment and perks at the ballpark and will get special benefits when they use their Cubs 1st Club debit card at Four Winds Field or the 1st Source Bank Performance Center.”

“We continue to grow. We continue to make good on the promise we made to the citizens of this region six years ago,” Berlin added. “And we wanted to make sure that everyone knew about the 1st Source Bank Performance Center prior to Opening Day—which is this Saturday. It’s just one more reason that Four Winds Field is the most-exciting, most-entertaining place to be every spring and summer in northern Indiana.”
