Bob Manuwal, a member of the First United Church of Christ wants to send a warning to all churches in the area.
Last Sunday morning a man stopped in the church before the service saying that he and his wife were looking for a new church. After looking around, he left before the service started but came back and stole a 5 gallon water jug filled with change church members have been donating for Heminger House.
A member of the church saw the guy leave the church and get into a red Pontiac Grand Am.
Although police were called, there were not able to locate the suspect’s vehicle and did not do a report on the incident.
Manuwal wants to area churches to be on the lookout for someone who says they are looking for a new church.
