basketballsSeventeen Plymouth High School students are hitting the road this Father’s Day evening, June 19, 2016, bound for the Mt. Olympus Dells Classic Tournament, held at the Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Plymouth High School’s head basketball coach Ryan Bales said, “Both our varsity and junior varsity teams have competed in the Dells Classic tournament for the past four years. We have competed against teams from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan to name a few in years past.”

Five coaches will be attending the camp, including Coach Bales and his four assistant coaches: Brad Parkhurst, Carl Davis, Tim Filson, and Rob Carmichael.

This year’s tournament will take place on June 20 through June 22.

Bales said, “The purpose of this trip is to balance fun/relaxation with competing.  This trip is part of our development of players and team of growing together on and off the court. It allows us to play teams we normally don’t see which is a good thing I think.  Many of our players are busy not only with basketball, but also playing multiple sports.  This trip allows us to play a few morning to early afternoon games a day, then have the rest of the day to have fun at the water parks or theme parks, share a dinner together, and just hang out at the hotel. It is nice to get away for a few days and bond as a team.”
