Highlights: The Lady Pilgrims ended their season tonight versus the Mishawaka Lady Cavemen. The Cavemen were able to hit the ball hard and took advantage of Plymouth errors. That goes to say that the Pilgrims battled offensively, getting 9 hits of their own. The Pilgrims jumped on the Cavemen in the first inning scoring one run, but it wasn’t enough to push them to victory. Tough Cavemen defense and pitching kept Plymouth scoreless throughout the rest of the game. While Plymouth only scored one run, the bats stayed hot. Offensive leaders were Jillian Smith who went 2 for 2 with a walk, Mackenzie Derifield went 2 for 3 with Plymouth’s lone RBI, and Zoe Keilman went 1 for 3 scoring Plymouth’s only run. Anna Bockman, Mimi Southwell, Ashley Shepperd, and Summer Smith each added a hit for the Pilgrims. This brings the Pilgrim’s season to an end with a 3 – 25 record. Plymouth will retire five seniors: Bailey Hatfield, Bre Martin, Ashley Shepperd, Jillian Smith, and Autumn Wojcik.
