SAN JOSE, CA – CMA’s Prep hockey team fell just short of a national title Monday afternoon falling to Penquins Elite by a 3-0 final in the U18 Tier one division championship game in San Jose. The Eagles advance to the final with a win over the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies on Sunday 4-1.

This was the best finish for Eagles in the National tournament. Both CMA’s Prep and U16 teams qualified for the nationals. The Prep squad went 3-0 in pool play, then advanced through the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. U16 finished 1-2 in pool play. It was the first time CMA had qualified two teams for the nationals. They advanced through the Mid-Am division tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
