DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla Lady Chargers lost to Kalamazoo Valley Community College, currently number one in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) conference, in an ending score of 76-59 Wednesday night in a game that brought the Charger’s record to 14-9 overall and 4-6 in the MCCAA.

Ancilla sophomore Khadijah Moore led all scoring with 23 points. La’Fabian Coleman added nine points and Bianca Maxwell had eight points and 14 rebounds. Teshylia Peters also added 11 rebounds to the team’s stats for the night.

“We had some really good half court defensive execution tonight,” remarked head coach Tom Robbins. “The players were very much dialed into the scouting report from a defensive perspective. Unfortunately, on far too many possessions, we didn’t finish the execution and gave up offensive rebounds that resulted in points for Kalamazoo. However, even with an unfavorable outcome, I still felt we moved forward as a team tonight on a number of things.”

Ancilla will be on the road Friday as they travel to Grand Rapids Community College. Game time is 5:30p.m. The Chargers will return home on Wednesday, February 10th, to play Kellogg Community College. Tip-Off schedule if for 5:30p.m.
