DONALDSON, IN – The Charger women’s basketball team claimed their second conference win over Kellogg Community College, 87-68. Ancilla is now 12-5 for the year and 2-2 in the MCCAA conference.

The Chargers, who are currently # 4 in the MCCAA conference, were led in scoring by Sophomore Khadijah Moore who had 29 points for the night. London, England native Bianca Maxwell pulled a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Ashley Quezaire added 16 points and eight rebounds to the Charger stats and Teshylia Peters put up 11 points. The team had five players with nine or more points, forced 32 turn overs, and Moore had five blocked shots.

“We had a total team effort to get this win on the road and we needed every bit of it,” said Charger head coach Tom Robbins. “Winning conference road games is a challenge due to a lot of different variables. Our execution and focus at times was lacking but were able to move players in and out to keep the attention to detail which ultimately led to our victory. Our most consistent player was Khadijah Moore who had a big night all the way through. Ashley Quezaire really picked things up for us as well when she came in from the bench.”

The team will play home this Saturday as they take on conference rivals, Glen Oaks Community College. Tip-Off is scheduled for 1:00p.m.
