CHICAGO, IL – The Charger Basketball team played Friday night Harry S. Truman College where they were able to capture a 67-45 win.
Ancilla controlled the game, pulling a 38-25 lead over the Falcons leading into the half. Charger sophomore, Everett Norman led in overall scoring with 15 points followed by Andrew Jones (9) and Travon Brackett (8). Freshmen Nick Harris (6) and Tre’Shon Heard (5) had a combined 11 rebounds for the night and Jones led the team in assists with five.
“We gave a great effort on the defensive end tonight. Anytime you can hold your opponent under 30% from the field you give yourself a great shot to win the game. I was really pleased with the solid contributions we received from everyone who played,” said Head Coach Aaron Butcher.
The Chargers will be on the road Friday at Vincennes University. Game time is set for 7:00p.m. The team will return home on Saturday to face off against John A. Logan College. Tip-off is set for 5:00p.m.
