MewsetteCartwrightDONALDSON, IN – Ancilla College is excited to welcome Mewsette Cartwright to the athletic staff and to announce the addition of a Co-ed Dance team for the 2016-17 school year.

 

Mewsette Cartwright has been dancing for over 20 years she began as a Contemporary dancer in 1994 and later fell in love with Ballroom dancing in 2006. In 2010 Mewsette attained her national certification (DVIDA) as a dance instructor. Mewsette is also certified as a group certified Yoga instructor, retired Zumba instructor and personal trainer (AFAA) and certified with the NDCA. Mewsette is currently the LifePlex Dance Academy (LDA) Director since 2006 in Plymouth, Indiana. Mewsette is also currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Ancilla College. Her life purpose as a Dance Instructor/Coach is to provide the best service and quality training for her students. Her mission is to help dancers attain their personal goals and dreams of dance one step at a time.

 

“I am honored to be a part of the Ancilla College Athletic Department,” said Cartwright. “It is a blessing to be a part of an opportunity to provide dance training/coaching to a group of artistic and athletic individuals. I look forward to helping elevate the Ancilla Dance Chargers to a competitive level of grace, athleticism and integrity required to be a proficient dancer. Coaching is my purpose to enhance the blessing of dance not only to the dance, but also to the spectators that are witnessing the art in movement on the stage.

 

“Dance will be a unique but important addition to the Ancilla College Athletic Department,” commented Ancilla College Athletic Director Gene Reese. “Our dance and cheer programs will work together to make a strong competitive and entertaining spirit department for the college. Coach Cartwright’s love for Ancilla along with her extensive dance background, will be the perfect mix to take this program to an elite level.”

 

The Charger Co-Ed Dance team is proud to offer ample scholarships to dancer from around the area for the 2016-17 school year.
