The Plymouth ladies traveled to Maxwelton in Syracuse Tuesday evening for their opening NLC match of the season.  The Pilgrims played well but we’re edged out by the hosts from Wawasee by the slimmest of margins.  Attached full results.

182 Wawasee
183 Plymouth
259 Elkhart Memorial
The Varsity improves to 4-2 on the season in 9 hole matches and 1-1 in the NLC heading into tomorrow night’s showdown with Northridge at PCC starting at 5:30pm.  The JV split their contest also loosing to Wawasee.
Playing well for the Varsity tonight we’re Randi Dunn 41, Katie Johnson 44, and Jennah Nifong 52.  Both Katie and Jennah posted season best 9 hole scores.  Most impressive was the fact none of our players had ever seen the golf course!
“Losing to a quality Wawasee team by a single shot, a team that a year ago played in the state finals, on their home course, a place we’d never seen, shows the integrity and improvement in our girls’ games,” said Plymouth coach Ben Weymouth, “Tight losses show growth and also act as motivation for our players.”
