Police-singPlymouth Police Chief Dave Bacon released the May 2015 Activity Report during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting Monday evening.

The department handled 561 calls for information, 405 complaints, and initiated 405 traffic stops.  City officers issued 260 citations, had 160 code enforcement issues, responded to 122 9-1-1 calls and handled 117 case reports.

In May Plymouth officers conducted 77 residential security checks, made 55 arrests 5 of which were juveniles and completed 52 accident reports.  There were 57 alarm situations that city officers responded to, 41 animal complaints last month, 29 vehicle checks, 16 K9 uses, and 14 assists to other agencies.

During the meeting Chief Bacon was granted approval to seek an employee to fill the vacancy left with the recent retirement of Ted Brown who will serve as the Plymouth Schools’ Director of Security.  Brown would have has 21 years with the department in July.

The Chief also asked to have patrolman Stewart Krynock moved from his one year probationary status to full status with full pay.
