Plymouth kept the win streak rolling as they headed to Michigan City on Saturday. With a 5-0 victory, the Pilgrims made it 3 in a row. Hayley Brown was solid from the mound holding onto a no hitter through 6 innings. She struck out 9 and walked no one while the defense allowed just 2 hits with 1 error on the day. Offensively Plymouth executed bunts and moved base runners to score 1 in the 3rd, 2 in the 5th and 2 in the 7th. Ashley Shepperd was 2 for 2 with an RBI and a run while Jillian Smith, Kristen McNeal, and Mimi Southwell were all 2 for 3 on the day. McNeal had a double and 2 RBI’s.
The Lady Pilgrims are now 3-4 on the season and start conference play Monday at Elkhart Memorial.
