DONALDSON, IN – Michael Leonard, a 2014 graduate of Logansport High School, recently signed his Letter of Intent to join the Charger Cheer Team at Ancilla College.

Leonard comes to Ancilla with five years of previous cheerleading experience in both sideline and competitive cheer and has served as both a base and backspot in co-ed and all-girl stunting. He is a seven time varsity letter recipient for his athletic efforts in cheerleading, football, wrestling and track and the recipient of most spirited for cheerleading two years in a row.

When asked why he chose Ancilla, Leonard remarked, “I chose Ancilla because it was close to home and I already have friends here. Plus, I was excited for the opportunity to be able to continue cheering.”

Charger cheer coach Kaylee King commented, “It is wonderful to have another male athlete joining our team. As we begin to embark in the world of competitive cheer as well as sideline, his co-ed stunting abilities will be a great asset to the program. Michael is a hard worker and very motivated. I am pleased to welcome him to the program.”

Michael will be attending Ancilla to pursue his Associates Degree in Law Enforcement.
