The A team at Riverside Intermediate School bounced back from last week’s loss in a big way.  This game was the girls most impressive team victory of the season.  The unselfish play and swarming defensive of all ten players was impressive to watch, and was too much for the Lady Lions to handle.  In the end the Lady Rockets won the game 34-12.  Tallulah Gault, Miranda German and Olivia Horvath each had 8 points, and Madison Stiles earned all 6 of her points in the second half.  Lindsay Janus and Emma Cook’s combined efforts to defend Bremen’s top player helped the team to victory.  Hustle, effort and assists from Jordan Brown and Ella Hissong also help earn this win.

The Riverside Rockets B Team played hard against Bremen, but came up a little short at the end of the game.  The Lady Rockets went into the second half with a 3 point lead thanks to Addison Shireman’s 3 point play at the free throw line.  Good defensive play and rebounding from Gabby Garza, A.J. Rice, Aubrey Highberger and Jennifer Aguilar also helped the Lady Rockets stay close in this game.  The girls are continuing to improve each game and are playing good team basketball.  The team looks to rebound from these close losses against Knox and New Prairie later this week.
