AKRON, IN –Leslee France, a 2015 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, recently signed her Letter of Intent to cheer at Ancilla College for the upcoming season.

France has been active in cheerleading since the sixth grade and has been a Vikings varsity football and basketball sideline cheerleader for two years. She has experience in all stunting positions; flyer, base and backspot and received the award for best base. During her career as a cheerleader at Tippecanoe Valley, France has had the opportunity to cheer the half time show for the Harlem Globe Trotters with her team and last summer, she worked as a camp counselor for a youth cheerleading camp called Poms.

Aside from cheerleading, she was a part of the Tippecanoe Valley tennis team and served as the manager of the Vikings’ swim team. France is currently working as an intern for Wynnfield Crossing, an assisted living community in Rochester, IN.

“I knew that Ancilla College was the right choice for be because it’s small like my high school,” remarked France. “Everyone is super nice and I just feel like it’s a good fit.”

“Leslee is going to be a wonderful asset to our cheer program here at Ancilla,” commented Ancilla College head cheer coach Kaylee King. “She has several years of cheerleading experience as well as knowledge of several different stunting positions which makes her very valuable as an athlete.”

Leslee is the daughter of Michelle and Thomas France from Rochester, IN. During her time at Ancilla, Leslee plans to work toward her Associates Degree in Nursing.
