County Building_2The Marshall County Commissioner will meet Tuesday at 9:30 due to the Martin Luther King Holiday on Monday.  They have a lengthy agenda to contend with.

Curt Fey from Legal Shield will have a presentation and Tim Fultz will have a seawall request on county property.  Bart Trester from USI will update the commissioner on the Metronet fiber-optic project and seek approval for the certificate of completion.

Laurie Baker and Jason Peters from the County Highway will update the wetland mitigation project for 7th Road, further discuss the Mill Pond Dam, present pug mill estimates, seek permission to replace and area leader,  discuss bid specs for a new loader and seek a waiver of the 90% pay for an employee who has moved from the Sheriff’s Department to the County Highway.

The commissioners will hear from Veteran’s Service Officer Pam Schweizer Betz will discuss a WorkOne training opportunity in South Bend and Jim Clevenger will present the county attorney’s report.

Other agenda items for the commissioners include the auditor’s report, the 2015 covered bridge certification, a conflict of interest disclosure for Jason Peters and two appointments to the Marshall County Board of Health.

The meeting, which is held in the second floor meeting room of the County Building is open to the public and comments and questions are welcomed.
