State Rep Tim HarmanState Representative Tim Harman (R-Bremen) has been appointed to serve as Vice Chairman of the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee.  He was appointed by House Speaker Brian Bosma.

“It is an honor to be appointed to serve as Vice Chairman of the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee,” said Representative Harman. “I am excited to take on a leadership role and look forward to reviewing the bills that come through our committee this legislative session.”

Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.

“At 5.7 percent, Indiana’s unemployment rate is below the national average,” said Representative Harman. “In my role, I will work with members of this committee to reduce that number while advancing policies that strengthen the Hoosier workforce, bringing more employment opportunities to our state.”
Representative Tim Harman (R-Bremen) represents all of Marshall County and a large portion of Fulton County.
