PLYMOUTH, IN – The Ancilla College men’s basketball team ended the non-conference part of their season with a win over Midwest Elite Prep 75-72.
“This is a big-time win for the program,” commented Ancilla coach Aaron Butcher. “Midwest Elite Prep is loaded with Division I players. We were in a lot of foul trouble and battled a lot of adversity. The guys kept playing hard and stayed the course. With the challenging non-conference schedule we played and being out two key guys, 9-4 at the break is a pretty good mark.”
Ancilla was led by a double-double from Mike Wickliff who finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Eric Waddell led the team in scoring with 25 points and added six rebounds and four assists. Juwan Johnson chipped in 14 points, while Everett Norman added nine points with four rebounds.
