The 8th grade Red Storm traveled to Valparaiso on Saturday to compete in the Ben Franklin Tournament. In the first game the boys defeated Rensselaer by a score of 62-36. The team was led in scoring by Cam Dennie with 14, Cole Filson with 13, and Clay Hilliard with 11.
In the championship game the boys fell to a tough Ben Franklin team 51-27. The Red Storm were never able to match their physicality and offensive execution. Cole Filson led the way with 12 points and Clay Hilliard chipped in 11. The Boys record now stands at 9-2.
The Red Storm are back in action tonight when they take on Whitko at home.
