Eighth Grade
The 8th grade traveled to Wawasee last night to take on the Warriors. Despite a frustrating performance, the Red Storm defeated the Wawasee by a score of 27-16. Cole Filson led the way with 16 points, Bryce Carmichael had 6, and Evan Zeigler chipped in 5. Evan Zeigler led the way defensively once again with 3 deflections and 3 steals.
The 8th grade B team overcame a first half deficit to take a 34-30 victory over Wawasee. Ezra Winkle led the way with 14 points and Shaun Frantz chipped in 10.
The Red Storm are back in action at home tonight against Urey Middle School at 5:00.
Seventh Grade
The 7th grade Redstorm split their games against Wawasee on Monday evening. The A team opened up the evening with a strong defensive effort, winning 40-29. Brady Hissong stuffed the stat sheet, leading the home team in 3 categories. He amassed 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Adam Hunter chipped in 7 points and 3 steals of his own.
The B team lost a heartbreaker on a last second shot, 34-32. Brady Hatfield and Hugh Smith both scored 7 points in the loosing effort. The team played great defense and pulled down 27 total rebounds for the night. Both teams return to action Tuesdaynight when they travel to Urey for a double header.
