The Plymouth Knights of Columbus Council 1975 was out in force over the past weekend passing out Tootsie Rolls for a good cause.  34 members of the Knights were at the intersection of Jefferson and Michigan as well as in front of Wal-Mart and Kroger’s to pass out Tootsie Rolls in exchange for a donation.  Overall, a record of nearly $4,600 was raised and all of the proceeds from the event will benefit Marshall-Starke Development Center.

Plymouth Tootsie Roll Committee Chairman Joe Mersch said “The Plymouth Knights of Columbus would like to thank all people that donated money this past weekend.  The generosity of the people of Marshall County is a great reflection on the wonderful community we all live in.” Mersh added, “We collect a record amount of money this year and that wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for the generosity of all those who gave to the Knights who gave of their time to help the Marshall-Starke Development Center.”
